Beni, Myagdi,

On Wednesday, the Mayor of Beni Municipality, Surat KC, inaugurated the facility at a ceremony. In order to ensure safe and convenient travel for the public on public roads, a new management system has been implemented at Kalipul Bus Park.

With the construction of the new terminal building in Kalipul, which includes ticket counters, restrooms, passenger waiting areas, parking spaces, and CCTV cameras for passenger safety, buses from Kathmandu, Pokhara, Narayanghat, Butwal/Bhairahawa, Hetauda, Kankadbhitta, and even buses going to Mustang in the Himalayan region will depart from Kalipul.

Previously, when the bus park was not properly organized, passengers had to park their vehicles on the road, buy tickets on the roadside, and face insecurity. The Baglung Municipality, along with the Divisional Office of Urban Housing and Buildings, has constructed the disabled-friendly terminal building with an area of 285,000 square meters at a cost of NPR 28.54 million, along with parking spaces and vehicle parks on the right and left sides.

“From today onwards, we are operating Kalipul Bus Park in an organized manner by collecting fees. Ticket distribution will now take place from the terminal itself, as we have stopped selling tickets on the roadside and parking vehicles along the road. We have also banned parking on the road,” said Mayor Surat KC of Beni Municipality.

“The district’s Traffic Police Office, Tourist Information Center, and petrol pump will be relocated from the area where the bus park is currently organized. The process has already started. Once that is done, we will further organize the bus park.”

To manage the bus park, Beni Municipality has formed a Bus Park Management Committee under the chairmanship of the ward chairman of Ward No. 8, Uttam Karmacharya. The committee has set the following fees for parking in the bus park: NPR 25 for small vehicles and NPR 50 for large vehicles as a “cleaning fee,” and for overnight parking, NPR 100 for small vehicles and NPR 200 for large vehicles as a “parking fee.”

Similarly, vehicles coming from and going outside the district and those operating on routes within the district (including those going to Mustang) will have separate ticket counters and parking areas in the northern section of the terminal building, apart from the reserved room. Private vehicles with number plates will also have parking arrangements in front of the Traffic Police Office and the private building area.

“We have divided Kalipul Bus Park into two sections, one for vehicles entering and leaving the district and the other for those operating on internal routes (including those going to Mustang). Tickets for vehicles leaving the district and going outside (including Mustang) will be issued in the southern section of the traffic office, and tickets for vehicles going to the internal routes will be issued in the parking area. Large and small vehicles, as well as vehicles with private number plates, have been provided separate parking areas, making it easier for passengers,
