January 25, 2024, Beni Myagdi: On Thursday evening, a violent altercation among a group of youths in New Road, Benibazar, the headquarters of Myagdi, left one person seriously injured. The incident occurred near Kamna Development Bank in Beni Municipality-8, where a 22-year-old youth was shot, prompting an alarming condition.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that the clash erupted around 6:20 PM, involving two groups. Myagdi’s District Police Office Deputy Superintendent of Police, Madan Kunwar, stated that efforts to apprehend those responsible for the incident have been intensified.
The youths reportedly fled the scene after the confrontation, during which a young man sustained injuries to his hand and leg from a khukuri. The identities of the individuals involved remain undisclosed at this time. A dedicated police team has been deployed to search for the suspects in Benibazar and nearby checkpoints. Preliminary estimates suggest that the involved individuals fall within the age range of 20-30 years. Authorities are actively investigating the incident to ensure accountability.
